Abot Alam!


On June 25, 2013, the National Youth Commission (NYC) in partnership with the Provincial Youth Development Council of Nueva Ecija (PYDC-NE) launched the Abot Alam Project in the province.

 Commissioner-at-Large Kit Cruz and Executive Director Shierwin Taay of NYC spearheaded the orientation by sharing their knowledge on youth and presenting the project rationale among the participants, mostly composed of Sangguniang Kabataan Officials, Government Agency Officials and Non-Government Organization Representatives including the Rotaract Club of Cabanatuan City.

The Abot Alam Project is an inter-agency initiative to gather data on out-of-school youths (OSYs) and motivate them to go back to educational system to finish short term or long term courses to lead them into more stable and sustaining jobs and opportunities for their future.
